Suman Konda, PharmD

Clinical pharmacist, and the person who writes and runs HealthReview. One name, one set of credentials, and a plain account of what that does and does not qualify me to tell you.

Credentials

I hold a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) and practise as a clinical pharmacist, registered with the Telangana State Pharmacy Council. My registration can be checked against the council’s roll, and my professional history is public on LinkedIn.

What I write here

Every page on this site is written and published by me. There is no editorial team and no group of contributors: HealthReview is one pharmacist writing about the reports patients bring to him and cannot read.

The work I do day to day is the work this site is about. Reading a laboratory report against its reference interval. Explaining why a result sits outside the range and is still not a diagnosis. Talking through why a dose changed, what a drug interaction actually means for someone taking four medicines, and which monitoring bloods matter and when. The pages here are that conversation, written down.

Where my training actually applies

A pharmacist’s expertise is specific, and stating it precisely matters more than sounding authoritative across the board.

Squarely within it: medicines, dosing, side effects, drug interactions, therapeutic monitoring, and the interpretation of laboratory reference ranges. On blood-test and medication pages I check the clinical detail directly, and those pages carry a review line saying so.

Outside it: diagnosis. I do not diagnose, and neither does this site. Condition and guide pages are written from published sources and carry no claim of individual clinical sign-off, because a pharmacist signing off a diagnostic pathway would be claiming ground that belongs to a physician.

How I source pages

Clinical claims are taken from peer-reviewed literature indexed in PubMed and from the reference works held at the NCBI Bookshelf. Where a page makes a specific claim, it links to the source so you can check it rather than take my word for it. Where a page carries no reference list, it makes no claim to have one.

What I will not do

I do not interpret individual readers’ results, recommend prescription medicines or doses for individuals, or sell tests, supplements or treatments. I have no commercial relationship with any laboratory or manufacturer. The site is funded by advertising, which is disclosed and which has no influence on what any page says.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, I want to know, and reports affecting medical accuracy are dealt with first. Write to me through the contact page with the page URL and, if you have it, the source that contradicts what I have written. Verified corrections are applied and noted on the page.
