How it works

Pick your test, enter the number exactly as printed on your report, and hit Check my result. The ranges come from our own test guides and standard reference intervals. Some ranges differ by sex — selecting it gives a more precise reading.

About these ranges

Every range in this tool is taken from our own test guides, which cite peer-reviewed sources. Reference ranges can differ slightly between laboratories because analysers and methods vary — so the range printed on your report is the one that counts, and this checker is an orientation aid, not a verdict.

A single out-of-range value rarely tells the whole story. Doctors look at trends across repeat tests, your symptoms, your medicines, and the rest of your panel before drawing conclusions.

Frequently asked questions

Is this checker a substitute for my doctor’s interpretation?
No. It gives a rough orientation based on standard reference ranges. Your doctor interprets results with your symptoms, medical history, medicines, and trends over time — always discuss your report with them.
Why is my lab’s normal range slightly different from the checker’s?
Different laboratories use different analysers and methods, so reference ranges vary slightly. The range printed on your own report is the one that counts — the checker uses widely standard bands for orientation only.
My report uses different units. What should I do?
Convert your value to the unit shown next to each test before entering it. Two common conversions: vitamin D in nmol/L divided by 2.5 gives ng/mL, and calcium in mg/dL divided by 4 gives mmol/L. When in doubt, ask your lab.
My result is flagged but I feel fine. Should I worry?
Not necessarily. Single values can be affected by recent illness, medicines, supplements, dehydration, or even the time of day — and mild flags are often transient. What matters most is the trend across repeat tests. Discuss the result with your doctor rather than acting on one number alone.
